Llywelyn Ifan Jones

Llywelyn commands the stage, the audience, and his instrument, embracing it with powerful arms and hands, and hurling the sound into the ether with power and confidence that is not often associated with the harp, or its typical repertoire.
This is no demure tinkling. Expect to be drawn to the very edge of your seat by the commitment, warmth, and fluency of his playing.
— John Hardy, Composer

Projects

"Water: A Force of Nature" & Narrative Recitals

Llywelyn is a premier choice for arts festivals, international concert series, and heritage venues seeking high-impact, thematic programming. His flagship touring solo recital, Water: A Force of Nature, is a fully prepared, 60–75 minute narrative-driven production that explores the landscape, power, and cultural significance of water. Weaving together virtuosic display, lyrical reflection, and brief spoken commentary, the program ranges from the nationalistic architecture of Smetana’s Vltava (The Moldau) to impressionistic masterworks by Marcel Tournier and Amy Beach, alongside contemporary writing by Philip Glass and Mared Emlyn. Llywelyn specialises in these deeply communicative, storytelling formats that actively challenge traditional performance expectations.

Orchestral, Opera & Large-Scale Theatre

An exceptionally reliable and rhythmically sharp ensemble leader, Llywelyn brings vast experience to elite pit orchestras, symphonic stages, and commercial theatre productions. His current concerto repertoire includes headlining Germaine Tailleferre’s Concertino for Harp and Orchestra with Sinfonia Smith Square, alongside regular freelance engagements for major international opera houses and symphonies. Equally adept at anchoring long-running commercial theatrical runs, his large-scale stage credits include performing as the featured resident harpist for the extensive UK touring production of The Carpenters Story.

Commercial Campaigns & Events

Llywelyn offers an elite, highly polished performance presence for premium corporate partnerships, global marketing campaigns, and luxury private events. Notably, his distinct look and musical authority saw him hand-selected to star as the official featured harpist in a global Guinness x Arsenal F.C. commercial campaign. His expansive event repertoire moves effortlessly across classical masterworks, traditional Welsh folk music, cinematic scores, jazz, and bespoke acoustic arrangements of modern pop and musical theatre, making him an exceptionally versatile asset for high-end client entertainment.
