However, a concert harp is an incredibly delicate instrument worth tens of thousands of pounds, crafted from fine woods sensitive to moisture and heat. The performance area must be flat, completely dry, and fully sheltered under a solid marquee or canopy to protect the instrument from direct sunlight, light wind, or sudden rain.

For a wedding, a 2-hour booking perfectly covers the ceremony prelude as guests arrive, the ceremony itself, and the entire drinks reception. For corporate dinners or afternoon events, a 3-hour booking allows for beautifully paced sets with brief intervals, keeping the atmosphere elevated throughout.

Concert harps are heavy and require flat, step-free access or an accessible elevator for load-in. All we require on-site is a single sturdy, armless chair, adequate lighting to read sheet music, and a safe, private changing room to store the instrument's transit covers. If you book an electro-acoustic harp, we will also require access to a standard domestic power socket.
