Toulston is a UK-based music contracting and creative services company working across live events, orchestral projects and recording sessions. We supply professional musicians, coordinate large-scale music projects and support clients who need both artistic quality and dependable organisation.
The company is newly established, but the experience behind it spans more than a decade inside the industry. Toulston brings together practical knowledge from performance, composition, orchestra fixing and music contracting — experience gained in rehearsal rooms, on stages and behind the scenes supporting established agencies and production teams.
We understand how much preparation sits behind a performance that appears effortless. Our role is to make that preparation invisible to the audience — but never accidental.

What We Do
Toulston contracts musicians across the UK for live events, venue programming, concerts, recording sessions and commissioned projects. We work with venues, production companies, promoters, composers, artists and private clients who require high standards and clear communication.
Some projects involve a single pianist or small ensemble. Others require full orchestral forces or coordinated session players working to tight production schedules. In every case, the approach is consistent: understand the brief properly, engage the right musicians, and manage the detail with care.
We don’t overcomplicate things. We make sure they run smoothly.

The Founder
Toulston was founded by Ben McGettigan, a pianist, composer and music contractor with over a decade of professional experience working across live events and project coordination.
Alongside his work as a musician, Ben has spent years supporting established agencies and clients with fixing, contracting and organising professional players - developing a strong understanding of how music projects function in practice, and where they most often go wrong. Toulston brings that experience together under one focused company.
The name Toulston is taken from an old medieval village buried in the fields behind the house where he grew up in Yorkshire - a brief nod to home.
The company is founder-led, built on practical experience, and structured to grow into a trusted long-term partner for venues, promoters, production teams and artists across the UK.
Looking Ahead
Toulston is developing into a trusted partner for venues, promoters, orchestras, production companies and recording projects across the UK. Alongside music contracting and orchestra fixing, we are gradually expanding a programme of curated live performances in distinctive spaces — an area that will form an increasing part of the company’s output over time.
The ambition is simple: to build a respected, reliable music contracting house known for strong musicianship, careful coordination and long-term relationships.
